Ce pigment rouge se d\u00e9compose lorsque la lumi\u00e8re frappe la r\u00e9tine, cr\u00e9ant ainsi une impulsion \u00e9lectrique. La rhodopsine est produite sous l\u2019influence de la vitamine\u00a0A. Pour disposer d\u2019une bonne acuit\u00e9 visuelle dans le noir, il est donc essentiel d\u2019en avoir en quantit\u00e9 suffisante.<\/p>\n<p>La vitamine\u00a0A est par ailleurs b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour les <strong>muqueuses<\/strong> chez la femme et contribue \u00e0 maintenir un \u00e9quilibre hydrique normal des yeux, chez l\u2019homme comme chez la femme. L\u2019huile de baies d\u2019argousier est l\u2019un des rares produits v\u00e9g\u00e9taux qui contiennent de la vitamine A.<\/p>\n<p>Outre la vitamine\u00a0A, il existe la provitamine\u00a0A\u00a0: on la trouve principalement dans les fruits et l\u00e9gumes contenant du b\u00eata-carot\u00e8ne comme la mangue, l\u2019abricot, la mandarine et la carotte. Notre corps peut produire lui-m\u00eame de la vitamine A \u00e0 partir de la provitamine A. Il est donc v\u00e9ridique que les carottes sont bonnes pour nos yeux. Mais il n\u2019est pas pour autant n\u00e9cessaire d\u2019en manger un kilo tous les jours.
